Tara Adams, une élève de première introvertie qui ne peut se résoudre à parler en classe, surtout quand le rockeur populaire, Gavin, est devant elle. Malgré sa timidité à l'école, seule dans sa chambre, Tara se jette comme animatrice de Radio Rebel et, en tant qu’hôte d'un podcast en soirée. Radio Rebel gagne rapidement les fans sur le campus.
