Dans ce thriller d'action à 200 à l'heure, un road trip à travers le pays se transforme en véritable enfer pour Brenda (Queen Latifah), ses deux enfants et son frère Reggie (Chris Bridges, alias Ludacris). Témoin d'un meurtre atroce, la famille se retrouve dans le collimateur d'un mystérieux tueur. Désormais seule dans le désert du Nouveau-Mexique, sans personne pour l'aider, Brenda doit mener un combat à mort pour protéger sa famille.
